Earlston Parish Church has occupied a prominent place in the village for many generations, probably at least as far back as the twelfth century. Today its fine Victorian architecture dominates the East End of Earlston, and its comfortable interior welcomes a great diversity of worshipers. Please come and join us, and enjoy your welcome afterwards with a cup of tea or coffee – you’ll find it hard to get away.

Morning worship is normally offered every Sunday at 10:15 (except on special occasions), with Holy Communion at various times of the year.  There are also occasional weekday services.

The Church of Scotland has a deep concern for the wholeness and well-being of each individual. Through its congregations, working together with the Safeguarding Service and statutory agencies, the Church seeks to safeguard the welfare of all people who come into contact with the Church and its services.

The Gospel proclaims that it is the responsibility of everyone within the Church to prevent harm, be it physical, sexual or emotional, and we will always seek to reduce risk.

The Church's commitment to safeguarding remind us that God cares passionately about the welfare and well-being of all people.

The service on Sunday 1st March at 10.15am will be led by Dr John Burns. We have a corner for younger children to play in during the service. Refreshments will be served after the service. Prayer Support will be held in the church later that day at 6.30pm. All Welcome.

Sunday 8th March we will celebrate Holy Communion at 10.15am and this service will be led by Rev Graeme Glover. 

We are getting closer to being able to invite applications to become our new minister. Following the service on Sunday 8th March, eight members will be chosen to represent Earlston Parish Church on the nominating committee. This is an important step and church members are able to both stand for election to the nominating committee  and to take part in the vote. Extra copies of the Spring 2026 Church Newsletters can be picked up from the Earlston Health Centre, Church Hall, Premier Shop, The Pharmacy and Aquarius Hair Design. 

COMMUNITY CAFE AND LARDER FOODSHARE- Earlston Community Cafe and Larder Foodshare  is open Wednesday mornings from 10.30am to 12 noon, in the church hall.  Come along for a cup of tea or coffee, with biscuits, and a friendly chat. No charge, but donations are welcome. We have a toddler play area in the main hall, and parents or carers with little ones can make use of the quiet lounge.  Free food is available from the Earlston Community Development Trust Larder Foodshare. This is good food that would otherwise go to waste, and is for anyone to collect. Donations of food are also accepted.

Sunday worship is available on BBC Radio Scotland, on Sundays at 7.30 am and

BBC Radio 4, on Sundays at 8.10 am

We do not currently hold a regular Sunday School; children are always welcome to any service, there is a good selection of resources available in the dedicated area at the front of the sanctuary. Special provision has been made for wheelchairs in the body of the church.  

Above all, there are few aspects of village life in which Earlston Parish Church doesn’t play a prominent part. The Church Newsletter is distributed three times a year to every household in the parish. The annual service to celebrate the commencement of Civic Week has even taken place in the festive marquee in previous years.
